Target Audience
I have a definite idea of the general groups our film will appeal to and also who our film will be aimed at.
As a rule the largest groups will be fans of comedy and heavy metal, seeing as this is a comedy about a metal band. People whp are fans of films and shows like "This is Spinal Tap" "Metalocalypse" and "Tenacious D" amongst others are likely to be the first people who will be drawn towards the film.
Another large group that will identify with the film are the rock and heavy metal demographic. This is a typically (but not limited to) male audience that range through all ages, but is generally popular with young adults. This has already given the film a very wide audience.

Film title planning-initial ideas
So far we have had several ideas as to what we can include in our film. So far we have been thinking about the title sequence and an idea that keeps returning is the idea of using musical equipment and instruments to display credits.
This is our first idea. I would consist of showing a stream of photos, parafinalia and music equipment scattered over a surface with a camera slowly panning across, creating a timeline of sorts. Underneath photos would be where the credits are written (this is only an opening so there will not be that many credits.) We will consider this idea for a while unless it proves to hard to reconstruct photos of the rock band growing up over time, which it may well be.
These are some more ideas we came up with. They are much rougher but we will definatley incorporate some of them into our titles. The close-up shots on the instruments and hands playing them, will work very well in the theme because one of our main ideas for the entire film is a build up leading to a dissapointing let down and close up and possibly even slow motion shots will add a sense of suspense and enigma to the film.
Group change-new film direction
Originally I was in a group with Esme, Joanna and Ellie. We had planned to make a comedy based around a resteraunt drawing on the stereotypes and every day situations of working in a resteraunt.
However after several weeks of plannig and research, I decided that I was not entirely on board with the idea and I felt it would be better to work in a smaller group, so I left the group and joined with Marcus instead as we shared similar ideals and interests and we already had a good idea that we felt we could take further.
We have decided to make our film a "mockumentary" about a fake rock band. We are both very keen on music so we felt that this would be a good direction for us both.

This is a pinterest I made showing a few things that we know we can already draw influence from. As we go on with our research I will add more to this page should I find anything I find interesting and relatable to the project. I have generally included comedies that heavily feature music however I have included bands and even video games, so that I have a wide range of sources to examine and draw inspiration from.
